Our Plan

Independent Leadership

“Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land understand the challenges South Jersey’s families are facing. We are committed to looking out for you – even if that means standing up to party leaders in Trenton. That’s why we voted against tax increases and will continue fighting for tax relief and much needed economic growth.”

-       State Senator Jeff Van Drew

Working together Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land are fighting to:

-       Protect South Jersey jobs and grow our state economy

-       Cap state spending and relieve the burden on middle hardworking taxpayers

-       Prohibit politicians from accepting gifts from lobbyists

-       Bring home South Jersey’s fair share of State resources and money

-       Ensure that our State’s most vulnerable, our children and seniors, are protected

Protect South Jersey jobs and grow our State economy

Between the rising cost in living and weakening job security, our families are struggling to make ends meet in these tough economic times. That’s why Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land are investing in local small businesses to protect jobs and grow South Jersey’s economy. They know firsthand what it takes to create jobs.

They are working to help small business owners by fighting to eliminate exorbitant fees, cutting red tape and providing other incentives. They fought to ensure that our children with dyslexia and other reading disabilities have the same opportunities as other children. They fought for the new southbound bridge over the Great Egg Harbor bay. They fought to have the unsightly fencing along with Garden State Parkway removed, preserving the first impression of region’s visitors. After a tireless fight, Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land achieved the goal of having the only traffic lights on the Parkway finally removed. They continue to work vigorously to ensure that western Cumberland County receives the aid it so desperately needs in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. They fought to bring the telecommunication services to the area necessary to ensure that Cumberland County can compete in the fast-paced global economy. Most notably, Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land worked with the Governor to save over 1,300 jobs by keeping open the Vineland Developmental Center. Together they will continue to support incentives that bring new quality jobs to South Jersey and fight for State funding to support our local industries.

Cap State spending and relieve the burden of hardworking taxpayers

Families across New Jersey are tightening their belts to live within their means – and it’s time State government did the same. Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land support a State spending cap because they don’t want to see our tax dollars going towards wasteful pet projects. They fought to lower taxes by introducing a proposal for a constitutional amendment that would require a 2/3 majority vote of the legislature to approve any bill proposing a new or increased State tax, fee, surcharge or civil penalty.

Together they fought to cut taxes for small businesses and to restore property tax rebates for homeowners. But more needs to be done. Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land support commonsense accountability, including granting the State Comptroller the power to identify and recommend budget reductions for certain State agencies and authorities, as well as requiring State departments to prove that it is more cost effective to contract out for work than performing the services themselves.

Fighting for seniors

Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land continue to fight for the full restoration of the homestead rebate and the property tax reimbursement (Senior freeze). They have also fought to strengthen the State’s Do Not Call list and to limit the ability of telemarketers to prey upon our State’s citizens, particularly our seniors. Jeff, who was the sponsor of the original Do Not Call list in New Jersey, and Bob have introduced legislation that would require all telemarketers to properly identify themselves on caller-ID systems. They are also pushing for legislation that would establish a Telemarketing Fraud Prevention unit within the Department of Consumer Affairs in the State’s Attorney General’s office. This unit would be tasked with the sole responsibility of enforcing the State’s Do Not Call list, ensuring that those telemarketers violating the law are punished.

Bring home South Jersey’s fair share of State resources

With all the taxes that we pay, South Jersey deserves more than budget leftovers. Together, Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land are a powerful voice making sure we get our fair share of State resources. They’ve secured funding for tourism, open space preservation and economic development and will continue to advocate for critical projects.

Fighting for our veterans

Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land fought for the passage of several bills important to our State’s veterans. They fought to ensure that even our State’s unknown and unclaimed veterans get a proper burial, as well as those veterans whose families are unable to afford funeral services. With thousands of our State’s veterans having fought, and continuing to fight today, in jungles, desserts and on beaches around the world, the least we can do is to provide them with free access to our beaches here at home. That is why Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land pushed through legislation allowing our beach communities to provide them with free beach tags.

Unfortunately, too many veterans continue to struggle to receive adequate healthcare. Many cannot afford healthcare on their own and have to rely solely on the VA, having to travel to Philadelphia, Wilmington, or even East Orange to receive medical care. These appointments can take up to 12 hours round trip for veterans traveling on shuttled services. That is why Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land continue to fight to bring a veterans hospital to South Jersey, as well as urging the federal government to allow veterans to go to their area hospital to receive their medical care, just like they would if they had a veteran’s hospital near them.

Ensuring no child is left behind

Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land fought to make sure those New Jersey children with dyslexia and other reading disabilities are properly identified and receive the instruction they need to succeed. They fought to have the definition of dyslexia included in the State code, ensuring that teachers and administrators around the State would have a better understanding of the disability. They also fought for legislation that would provide teachers with the training and professional development they need to properly teach students with dyslexia and other reading disabilities.

Fighting for small businesses and taxpayers

Jeff VanDrew, Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land continue to stand up for our State’s small business owners and taxpayers. They have consistently said No to new taxes; No to new fees; No to new tolls; and No to new surcharges. They have pushed for legislation that would require a super majority vote of the Legislature to enact any new taxes or fees. They have fought to reduce or eliminate numerous taxes and surcharges, including the State’s occupancy tax and tax on gym memberships. They fought vigorously against the proposal to increase the tolls on the State’s roads and have joined with the Governor in calling for a 10% income tax cut.
